Managing Factory Communication and Approvals
One decision log prevents contradictory comments and silent assumptions.
What brands need to know
Use email for quotations, specifications and approvals so the complete record can be retrieved. Each revision should identify style, colour, file version, date and decision owner. Combine feedback from design, buying and quality teams before sending it to production. Mark comments as approved, revise or information only. Messaging apps are useful for quick general questions but should not replace the controlled approval record for price, measurements, materials or delivery.
Production checklist
- Use one responsible contact
- Number every revision
- Consolidate comments before sending
- Keep commercial approvals by email
How this affects your quotation
A reliable quotation depends on the final design, construction, fabric, GSM, colours, size range, quantity per style and colour, branding, packing, delivery country and target date. Commercial feasibility and material availability are reviewed before a price is confirmed.
