Embroidery, Chenille and Patch Development

Thread, stitch density, backing and placement determine embroidery quality.

What brands need to know

Embroidery is digitised into stitches rather than printed directly from artwork. Small text, sharp corners and fine lines may need adjustment. Fabric stability determines backing, needle and density; heavy embroidery can distort lightweight jersey. Chenille creates a looped dimensional surface, while woven, embroidered, rubber and leather-look patches need separate attachment decisions. Approve a physical sample showing dimensions, colours, stitch coverage, reverse finish and placement before production.

Production checklist

  • Approve digitised artwork
  • Match backing to fabric
  • Check distortion and puckering
  • Confirm patch attachment method

How this affects your quotation

A reliable quotation depends on the final design, construction, fabric, GSM, colours, size range, quantity per style and colour, branding, packing, delivery country and target date. Commercial feasibility and material availability are reviewed before a price is confirmed.
