CIRCULOSE® Recycled Pulp: properties, uses and sourcing guide

A recycled dissolving pulp made from discarded cotton-rich textiles and designed to replace part of the virgin pulp used for regenerated cellulosic fibres.

Key characteristics

  • Textile-waste feedstock
  • Cellulosic value chain
  • Traceability dependent

Common garment applications

  • Viscose feedstock
  • Lyocell feedstock
  • Blended cellulosic yarns

Production and sourcing considerations

CIRCULOSE is not a ready-made fabric. The fibre producer, spinner, mill, recycled content and chain-of-custody documents determine a feasible garment program.

For a production quotation, specify the desired fibre composition, finished GSM, usable width, colour or Pantone reference, stretch requirement, surface finish, washing method and quantity per style and colour. A lab dip, strike-off or material sample may be required before bulk approval.

Questions to ask before approving this fabric

  1. Does the finished weight match the garment structure and season?
  2. What shrinkage is expected in length and width after the agreed wash test?
  3. Does the colourfastness meet the end-use and care requirements?
  4. Will printing, embroidery, washing or bonding change the surface?
  5. Is the available lot sufficient for production tolerance and replacements?
  6. Which certificate or fibre claim documentation is available for this order?
